We developed Accelerating Action to bridge that gap. What started as an internal excel to measure ACT's own social, environmental and economic impacts quickly evolved into a powerful online software solution. It combines research, systems thinking and practical delivery experience.

The software tool is now available via the Accelerating Action platform, but its real value comes through how we apply it.

The Sustainable Development Goals are central to how Accelerating Action works.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), signed up to by United Nations member states including Ireland, are a global blueprint for a better, more sustainable future, defining what 'good' looks like in practice. Mapping a project, plan or policy to the SDGs helps clearly demonstrate its wider social, economic and environmental impact in a structured and widely recognised way.

National Government: DCEE (Dept. for Climate, Energy and the Environment) has used Accelerating Action to report their SDG progress to the UN, enhance their Climate Action Plan for three years and support Ireland's SDG Champions Programme.
